Our story began back in 2008, but the roots of our company go even deeper. Founder Jonathan Mitchell discovered his love for landscaping at just 12 years old, mowing lawns in his hometown to earn extra money. That early passion quickly grew, and fresh out of high school, Jon launched Mitchell Lawn Care & Landscape LLC with a commitment to quality, hard work, and exceptional service.
Over the years, we’ve grown from a one-man lawn care operation into a full-scale outdoor living company with over 45 team members. In 2024, we rebranded to Mitchell Outdoor & Design to better reflect our expanded expertise and creative capabilities. While lawn care remains at the core of what we do, our team has become known for luxury outdoor transformations that go far beyond the basics.
We proudly serve Van Buren, Cass, and Berrien counties, including lakeside communities like Dowagiac, Sister Lakes, Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Berrien Springs, Twin Lakes, Cassopolis, New Buffalo, Paw Paw, and South Haven.
